Position Summary
Machine Operators are responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to produce quality parts and products. This role supports efficient manufacturing operations and requires attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards. The essence of this role is to ensure quality plastic rotational molded parts through molding techniques while adhering to company policies and procedures. Makes the plastic element of a playground such as swings, small/large slides, tunnels, and more.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.
Duties and Responsibilities
Follows the LSI QMS (standardized work and documented procedures).
Adheres to all safety procedures (including participating in safety audits, following machine guarding and lockout/tag out, proper lifting techniques, etc.), PPE requirements, and reporting incidents (including reporting near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately).
Operates assigned machinery under close supervision, following standard work instructions and safety procedures.
Performs basic machine tasks such as loading/unloading materials and initiating cycles.
Monitors machine operation and escalates issues outside of standard parameters.
Conducts basic visual and dimensional inspections to verify product quality.

Qualifications
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine operation.
Ability to follow standard work instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes.
Ability to perform basic measurements and visual inspections to verify product quality.
Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor machine operation for irregularities.
Ability to communicate issues or abnormalities to leads, technicians, or supervisors.
Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
High school completion or equivalent preferred.

compensation: The target hourly range is $19.50 - $22.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. This position qualifies for a shift differential of $3.00 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.
In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
