Machine Operator – Plastics – 3rd Shift

Duties and Responsibilities
Reads and interprets daily production reports to determine requirements.
Assists in the set-ups on all of the molding equipment and machinery.
Brings all quality and process control issues to lead.
Operates measuring tools such as micrometers, dial and digital calipers, and etc.
Visually inspects surfaces for flaws and makes adjustments accordingly.
Accurately completes paperwork and documents accurate counts of all parts.
Operates secondary equipment such as ultrasonic welder, drill press, trim press and gate cutters.
Operates a variety of forklifts and other material moving equipment and tools.
Sweeps area, cleans and washes equipment.
Attends Quality Manual Standards Training and applies Quality Standards accordingly.
Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
Reports consistently to work and is on time. Able to work an eight hour shift.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experiences
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous plastic injection molding experience and/or training preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and experience working with machines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
