
Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Understand customers’ core business priorities, develop tailored account strategies aligned with market and client needs, and leverage Apeloa’s CDMO/CRO capabilities to generate new business opportunities.
- Identify target clients and secure new business opportunities by delivering customized solutions focused on product quality, timely updates, and competitive pricing. This role requires extensive client engagement, including regular on-site visits and active networking.
- Proactively participate in industry networking and attend conferences to identify new prospects, leads and opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, and competitive intelligence, and collaborate closely with global/regional team members to support account development, lead generation and business growth.
- Evaluate business opportunities, develop customized proposals, and lead commercial and contract negotiations.
- Manage and nurture existing client relationships, and track client activities to support ongoing collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or Business or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in industrial R&D, chemical R&D,formulation development, or a related area.
- Knowledge and practical experience in the contract business for Regulatory Starting Materials (RSMs) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Direct Experience in CRO/CDMO sales, business development, project management, or contract management is highly desirable.
- Experience recruiting, training, mentoring, and leading a high-performing BD team to meet customer needs.
