
Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst is responsible for the review of all credit documentation pertaining to loans, including analyzing financial statements and periodic review of credit quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Review all financial information received as part of various credit requests/reviews. Responsible for data entry and spreads of financial statements, completion of credit analysis presentations, and assignment of risk rating
Complete annual reviews of files over specified dollar limits, as requested by management, noting such things as collateral value, credit ratios and current information
Complete collateral inspections for construction projects and floor plans
Ordering of real estate appraisals and completion of real estate internal evaluations
Ordering of environmental prescreens
Assessment of compliance to loan policy of credit requests
Valid state driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to complete collateral inspections for construction projects and floor plans
Adherence to schedule in a structured work environment
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with customer and associate inquiries
Prepare monthly reports
Act as consultant for computer program input
Performs other reasonable duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, related field or equivalent relevant work experience
2 -3 years bank credit analysis experience required. Relevant experience with a financial institution required.
Must be PC proficient in various software applications including financials spreading and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Strong analytical, problem solving and written and oral communication skills are required.
Must be attentive to detail, accurate, self‑motivated, flexible, organized and able to work under pressure
Complete assigned duties within required deadlines
Ability to work independently in a pressure environment with a high level of confidentiality
Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
Practices high degree of professionalism and maintains satisfactory attendance within policy guidelines and is punctual.
