Job Description
Eaton’s IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnects division is currently seeking a Material / Production Planner. The position is located in Camarillo, CA and requires on‑site presence Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Relocation assistance is not available.

Compensation:

$82,000 – $100,000 per year. The salary range is a general guideline and will be determined by candidate skills, experience and market considerations.

What You’ll Do
The Material / Production Planner will generate, maintain and follow‑up on production schedules for the assigned area, based on customer demand, shortages, lead time, capacity and internal targets. The role is a key member of the High‑Performance Work Team (HPWT) and will lead actions and follow‑up meetings with different departments to ensure KPI targets for service, quality, safety, inventory and flexibility are met.

Essential Functions

Analyze capacity by area, line, machine and product based on demand.

Generate work orders and release them to the shop floor according to the production plan.

Create action plans and follow‑up focused on achieving results (Close Actions).

Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Manage demand forecasting for a successful business model.

Co‑lead HPWT to achieve internal targets.

Propose improvements and create systems for an effective production plan.

Determine constraints related to manpower, equipment and raw materials.

Coordinate with operations to assign direct manpower and other staff to specific production operations.

Schedule shifts according to production schedule needs and constraints.

Monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.

Prepare and submit status and performance reports.

Collaborate with production, tool room, purchasing, OPEX, quality control, warehouse and other staff to achieve results.

Follow leader standard work (LSW) and maintain KPIs for the assigned area.

Adjust production as needed to meet customer expectations and internal constraints.

Address quality, manpower and other issues proactively to meet production schedule targets.

Re‑schedule past‑due orders weekly based on capacity and constraints.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 1 year experience in supply chain or production planning in a manufacturing environment.

U.S. person status (Citizen or Permanent Resident) as required by ITAR.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Previous manufacturing experience.

Demand and Capacity Planning experience.

Knowledge of SAP‑ERP, MRP and planning parameters.

Inventory Management knowledge.

APICS certification.

Proficient in MS Office and analytical tools.

Effective communication and customer‑service skills.

Perform physical tasks such as counting parts and moving materials up to 40 lbs.
