Job Summary / Basic Functions
Teaching didactic lectures in Advanced Dental Materials and other assigned courses at the post‑graduate (resident) level, mentoring undergraduate/post‑graduate student research, managing the biomaterials laboratory, and pursuing scholarly and service activities. While a research track position at hire, candidates will have the opportunity to transition to a tenure‑track position with laboratory and start‑up funds, commensurate with adequate success in the present position.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (PhD) in Dental Materials, Biomaterials, Polymer Science and Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Science.
At least 3 years of postdoctoral training in the above fields.
Experience in Dental Materials, Biomaterials, Polymer Science and Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Science.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal advanced degree in dentistry or medicine (DDS, DMD or MD) plus a PhD in the above fields.
