General Job Summary
Some daytime shifts and mostly evening and weekend shifts. This position is tip eligible.
Position Requirements
This Position Must Have a Valid Iowa Driver's License.
Duties / Responsibilities
Welcome, greet and assist guests with check‑in/check‑out processes.
Provide friendly and efficient transportation of guests in the hotel vehicles as needed.
Escort guests, open doors, assist with luggage, keep the lobby and entrance areas clean and welcoming.
Serve as a trainer and supervise the learning experiences of students in all areas of the hotel.
Transfer luggage, trunks and packages to and from rooms, loading areas or transportation terminals.
Drive the hotel vehicles to transport guests as needed.
Supply guests or travelers with directions, travel information and other information such as available services and points of interest.
Receive and mark baggage by completing and attaching claim checks.
Assist physically challenged travelers and other guests with special needs.
Deliver messages and run errands for guests.
Explain the operation of room features such as locks, ventilation systems and televisions.
Keep sundry items clean, organized and stocked for guest purchases.
Maintain clean, safe and fueled hotel vehicles.
Maintain lobbies, public spaces and entrance areas (internal and external) to provide a safe and welcoming experience.
Maintain compliance with required training as designated by supervisor.

Indoor environment: constant standing, pushing, pulling and grasping; frequent reaching and viewing a computer; occasional sitting and repetitive motion.
Outdoor environment: extreme temperatures.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Required Licenses, Certifications or Registrations
Valid driver license and ability to qualify for a Class D.
Chauffeur license required.
Driving record will be verified initially and monitored on an ongoing basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Post‑high‑school degree.
Minimum of two years full‑time hospitality experience or equivalent education and work experience.
