Overview
We are currently hiring a full time Market Manager for Arkansas. The ideal candidate will live in Northwestern Arkansas (Fayetteville, Rogers, Bentonville) or, alternatively, Little Rock. The position is listed as “working remotely,” but our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Responsibilities
The Market Manager (MM) is responsible for increasing availability and visibility of Boston Beer portfolio of brands within their assigned distributor territory through direct selling and wholesaler management to generate depletion growth.
Create a value-added wholesaler relationship within all levels of their organizations.
Execute internal sales objectives and improve account conditions using BBC systems and selling process.
Learn and be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and BBC product styles.
Hunt for new business opportunities while growing current business in multi-unit chains and key accounts.
Utilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesalers, accounts, and coworkers, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
Use internal and external data to plan and identify opportunities across the district.
Build strong relationships with wholesalers and retailers by providing leadership and training across a defined geography.
Assist in developing Goals, Strategies, Objectives and Tactics for the defined district.
Manage budget for the given district and account base.
Conduct monthly/quarterly Planning & Review meetings to benchmark progress to goal and sell BBC objectives.
Working conditions vary due to the customer-facing nature of the role.
May be required to work weekends and holidays to support business needs.
Occasional travel for meetings and trainings; regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers.

2+ years sales and/or food/beverage industry experience
Must be able to lift weight equivalent to one case of beer
Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
40% travel to attend Retail and Distributor sales calls and meetings
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Alcohol-beverage industry experience
Compensation & Perks
Salary range: $80,000 to $113,000, with starting pay dependent on related experience, skillset, and location
