About the Role
Planner
– early or mid‑career planning position in Mentor, OH office. Primary responsibility assisting the planning team and transportation division in creating plans, planning documents, and land use codes.
What You'll Do
Perform research and data analysis for planning projects.
Collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, and engineers.
Develop graphics and layouts for plans.
Attend meetings and public engagement events, including off‑hours and out‑of‑area ones, to support clients and projects.
Assist in developing planning studies and reports.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, geography/GIS, or a related field.
Ability to analyze data and create maps using ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online.
Knowledge of urban design programs such as SketchUp or Urban Footprint.
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or related programs.
Oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain rules and procedures clearly to the public.
Creative problem‑solving skills.
Ability to gather relevant information to solve practical problems.
Ability to facilitate in‑person and virtual public participation activities.
Understanding of how to access, utilize, and analyze U.S. Census data.
Salary Range
The minimum salary is $60,000.00. Salary may vary based on location, skills, and certifications.
