The
Quality Control Inspector
is a vital member of NewPower Worldwide, responsible for inspecting electrical components, documenting inspections, and assisting in decisions regarding conformity throughout the quality control process. Specifically, the responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the warehouse and receiving team to inspect inbound electronic components, identifying non-conformances or potential counterfeits.
Document the inspection process using thorough digital photography, microscopy, and other methodologies.
Make decisions regarding conformity based on incoming inspection results and communicate these findings to the Quality, Warehouse, and Commodity Managers.
Report any non-conformances to the appropriate management and purchasing teams.
Assist in creating customer-required documentation, including Inspection Reports, Certificates of Conformance, and other inspection-related documents.
Conduct research using datasheets, historical data, and other relevant sources as needed.
Maintain or achieve IDEA ICE-3000 certification.
Support shipping and receiving tasks as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in quality control or engineering
Working knowledge of QC principles and standards
Experience with ESD compliance is a plus.
An IDEA ICE-3000 Certificate is a plus, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment
Effective communication skills for interaction with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Willingness to assist with any task as needed.
