Overview
The CI Coordinator oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for distribution and warehouse. They work closely with various departments and locations to ensure the system and processes meet business needs and efficiencies, resolve technical issues, recommend and coordinate process and system improvements. This role is critical for optimizing business processes and ensuring data integrity.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary contact for distribution staff on ERP-related questions and issues; deliver and reinforce user training; and create, update, and maintain complete system documentation.
Diagnose and resolve system and process issues, escalating and partnering with IT for complex technical problems.
Coordinate system updates and cross‑functional communications across departments and locations to support smooth integration and consistent workflows.
Maintain ERP data accuracy (e.g., inventory levels, order status) and produce reports that support management analysis and decision‑making.
Identify process and system gaps and translate requirements into clear, actionable work plans for technical teams.
Validate that system functionality meets business needs and recommend process and/or system improvements as required.
Lead continuous improvement projects that optimize process execution, system alignment, and operational efficiency.
Support daily ERP operations in the distribution environment, ensuring ongoing system stability, reliability, and data integrity.
Use data‑driven tools and analysis to monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies.
Define and maintain standard work, instructions, and performance metrics to improve inventory accuracy, streamline handling, maximize productivity, and promote efficient material flow and utilization.
Support and administer company policies and procedures within the distribution operation.
Be available to work off‑shifts as needed to support system integration and major changes.
Qualifications
Detail oriented and ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
Self‑driven, results oriented and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision.
Continuous improvement experience, specifically with or around Business Process Kaizen, Six Sigma, A3 and/or 8D process improvement steps, etc.
Experience leading/supervising small teams (5‑15) in a distribution/warehouse environment – 3+ years preferred.
WMS/ERP implementation and proficiency (e.g., MS D365, Manhattan, Oracle).
Demonstrated organization skills, good time management skills, strong analytical and data‑driven problem‑solving skills.
Experience in collaborating across multiple departments.
Familiar with and proficient with MS Office, Outlook, Power BI.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four‑year college or university and three to five years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear, frequently required to sit/stand/walk, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
The employee generally works in an office setting.
