About This Position
The Credit Administration Professional is responsible for facilitating commercial loan closings with an emphasis on commercial construction administration. Ensures efficient and accurate processing and servicing of commercial loans while providing high quality customer service. Works closely with Commercial Lending and Credit teams to meet department and Company goals.
Essential Job Functions
Create, assemble, and generate all legal documentation related to commercial loans with an emphasis on commercial construction administration; manage loan closings following approval process; complete documentation files in accordance with approval document, Loan Policy, and Company procedures.
Assist Commercial Loan Documentation Manager with staff training and provide back‑up for workflow management and supervision as needed.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, compliance and regulatory issues, and policies and procedures. Specialize in Small Business Administration (SBA) financing requirements and procedures based on current SBA SOP.
Work with commercial lenders, customers, and other third parties (i.e. attorneys, title companies, and insurance companies) to secure data, complete documentation, and maintain updated files.
Ensure lien perfection on collateral; coordinate collection of required documents to complete file; verify documents for proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
Process General Ledger entries and correspondence in timely accurate manner according to established procedures.
Engage environmental engineers and other professionals for assessments, recommendations, and problem resolutions. Monitor construction lending and advances as well as title rundowns.
Participate actively in community as designated by community service requirements.
What You Will Need to Thrive in This Role
Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance or related field or equivalent experience required.
6 years of lending documentation or paralegal experience required.
2 years of experience with commercial construction administration preferred.
Paralegal Certification a plus.
Skills / Knowledge
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, management, and other third‑party professionals.
Thorough understanding of loan documentation criteria and Small Business Administration financing requirements.
Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of LaserPro a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to repetitively use a telephone, computer mouse, and keyboard for extended durations.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment.
