
Project Manager (Energy/Solar)

The Project Manager will lead electrical construction projects within utility‑scale energy markets, including
solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, substations, and other large‑scale power infrastructure projects . This role is responsible for overseeing projects from pre‑construction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met while coordinating closely with field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage electrical construction projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and work plans
Coordinate with field supervision, engineering, estimating, and procurement teams
Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries
Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and contract documentation
Track project costs and support financial reporting and forecasting
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, utilities, and project stakeholders
Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategiesSupport a strong safety culture across all project activities

Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in
electrical construction or power/energy projects
Experience working for an electrical contractor or subcontractor strongly preferred
Exposure to utility‑scale energy, renewable power, or heavy electrical infrastructure
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar)
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
PMP certification preferred but not required
