We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you who is ready to lead and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll share your expertise to oversee the design, development, and production of a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports the Department of War's strategic efforts.
As a communications specialist on our team, you'll manage the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self‑guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to build, cultivate, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and users within the defense and broader government community.
As the organizational advisor of all aspects of verbal and written communications, you'll oversee the development of briefs, talking points, and face sheets. Your creative‑thinking and business‑oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Adobe Creative Suites and a familiarity of how artificial intelligence tools can create efficiencies.

You Have
8+ years experience working directly with senior leaders in government agencies such as the Department of War
5+ years of experience distilling and communicating key messages
Experience developing and drafting innovative communication products such as speeches and articles that effectively convey the importance of an organization's mission
Ability to work without direct supervision, proactively engage and solve problems, and display a dynamic work ethic
Ability to coordinate communication remarks with multiple senior‑level customers, capturing nuance of individual tones and styles
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree

Experience with AI tools and leveraging their benefits for strategic communications purposes
Knowledge of the DoW CBRN defense program or military or public health programs
Possession of excellent analytical skills
Possession of excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
