Overview
Acts as the general manager for a Plasma Collection Center and has overall responsibility for the center's operation. Works under general occasional guidance and general oversight of regional management. Manages the daily operations of the center, supervising operations and quality control, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting quarterly goals, staffing hours per labor efficiency standards, cost per liter targets and quality key performance indicators.

Create an organizational environment and value systems that stimulate morale and productivity.

Operate the center and manage employees and operations to the highest standard of ethics and integrity.

Manage staff to ensure training and quality goals are met and implement operational changes to maximize center efficiency.

Direct and manage employees.

Monitor and evaluate operations, develop action plans to maximize efficiency, and supervise implementation of process improvements.

Manage headcount to provide efficient staffing through high and low production intervals, providing projections to regional management in advance of cyclical or seasonal peaks.

Accountable for all personnel functions including hiring, assignment, development and training, disciplinary actions and termination, and record maintenance.

Provide strategic direction and planning.

Other Responsibilities

Act as a mentor to assigned team, other center staff and other centers.

Through Assistant Manager, oversee donor selection, plasma collection, shipment and record completion.

Ensure adequate training of production employees and demonstrate tasks to meet company standards.

Ensure adequate inventory of all goods and supplies and oversee ordering as needed.

Maintain the facility in a neat and clean condition and keep equipment in good working order.

Manage freezer operations, including responding to alarms and handling equipment failures.

Submit timely and accurate reports on a daily or weekly basis or as requested.

Develop community representation in public relations and marketing campaigns to attract and retain donors.

Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP.

Ensure donor selection, plasma collection and manufacturing records meet highest production standards per regulations.

Direct Training and Quality staff to ensure training and quality goals are met.

Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction and long-term donation.

Work with corporate management on annual budget preparation and manage facility to meet production targets and quality goals at agreed cost structure.

Control center donor funds and ensure accurate financial records.

Identify regulatory deficiencies and coordinate corrective action with Center Quality Manager.

Minimize liability through risk management review, investigate unsafe situations, and institute corrective/preventive action.

Perform all tasks within the center as needed, including production duties.

Provide regional management oversight and mentoring for select facilities or projects.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in a clinical or general business environment.

Supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Preferred experience supervising a group of 20 or more employees.

Experience in a medical or cGMP regulated environment preferred.

Preferred experience with plasma or whole blood.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated pay range for the Center Manager position in Van Nuys, CA is $81,600 to $122,400 per year, and the position is eligible to participate in up to 30% of the company bonus pool. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, up to 5% 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.
