Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) – Skilled Nursing Facility
North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope, MN is looking to add a position to our growing team. The ABOM is responsible for overseeing the functions of the business office, with a keen focus on maintaining billing and cash collections.
This hourly position reports directly to our onsite business office manager and earns a competitive salary between $28-$32 per hour based on years of experience. Essential Qualifications
Experience in healthcare administration, patient accounts, medical billing, or a related field with a heavy focus on private collections and financial management.
Skill in Skilled Nursing Facility healthcare administration and billing.
Knowledge of the Medicaid Pending and Private Collection Process: understanding MA forms, the SMRT process, spenddown process and effectively communicating with residents/families.
Strong communication skills with county agencies, managed care organizations, residents/families, and the ability to follow up on Medicaid Pending balances.
Billing and accounts management experience, including managed care plan billing, working aging reports, clearing credits and balances, and maintaining accurate resident financial data.
Attention to detail and accuracy in resident financial files, census data, financial screenings, and documentation of collection efforts.
Collaborative skills to work with other facility departments to achieve accurate and timely billing results.
Problem‑solving and analytical skills for auditing accounts and ensuring financial integrity.
Customer service orientation with a compassionate approach to residents and families.
Time management and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines and attend required meetings.
Desired Experience
1–2 years’ experience with Point Click Care.
1–2 years’ experience in long term care billing.
Very knowledgeable in the Medicaid Pending Process.
Comfortable working independently.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field (preferred, not required).
Intermediate computer skills, especially with industry software, MS Word and Excel.
Work Schedule
This full time position works an 8 hour shift: M‑F, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
