Pay Range: $54,443 – $60,784 per year (authorized pay for this position, per Massachusetts law)

Position Overview:

The Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (URM) Youth and Family Specialist II provides culturally sensitive intensive case management, outreach, and direct service to URM Program youth in coordination and cooperation with systems including school personnel, educational teams, therapists, lawyers, court personnel, the public, and intra‑agency collaborators. The URM Youth and Family Specialist II is the primary advocate for the child, initiating creative approaches to service delivery and activities that help the youth achieve their potential and work toward a permanent resource and long‑term life plan.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field with at least 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience; skills assessing and treating at‑risk children and families and/or expertise with individuals with developmental disabilities and co‑occurring challenges; and minimum LSW or eligibility to obtain certification within six months of hire.

Ability to work within the Mission of the agency.

Significant experience working with children with social, emotional, or physical problems; mediation and conflict resolution skills helpful.

Open to new ideas, desire to grow professionally, and flexibility in thinking and scheduling.

Possession of a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Ability to utilize independent, sound clinical judgment and decision‑making with regard to the best interest of children and families.

Candidates selected for hire must successfully complete all required background checks before starting employment.

Location:

Worcester, MA (requires frequent travel throughout Massachusetts; often local travel to group homes and occasional travel throughout New England. In‑person with potential for a hybrid schedule)
