Job Description
Concord Group is looking for a Facilities Supervisor that will report directly to our Manager of Real Estate. In this role, responsibilities would include managing direct personnel reports within the mailroom, courier, and maintenance areas, as well as the overall functionality of the department. Work is performed independently.
Responsibilities
Mail Room
Oversee the administration needs of the mail center.
Record keeping of mailroom costs and activities, overseeing the processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
Manage logistics, assisting and directing internal deliveries.
Knowledge of postal regulations and liaison between the company and mail providers (UPS, Fed Ex, Etc.).
Maintenance and Facilities Operations
Strong project management skills and completing time sensitive deadlines.
Manage the maintenance and operations of company branches and office sites.
Negotiate and oversee vendor contracts and service agreements.
Manage invoices and contracts, demonstrate attention to detail, work with department budget.
Supervisory
Manage and oversee direct reports in mailroom, maintenance and courier services.
Communicate effectively with leadership.
Make suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of other employees.
Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reporting to management the progress and problems with meeting Company objectives.
Planning, assigning, and directing work to meet Company objectives.
Training associates and conducting performance appraisals.
Interviewing prospective associates.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or several years of similar prior work experience preferred
Experience in a supervisory position over facilities operations is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software platforms.
Ability to travel to branches in VT, NH, ME and MA as needed.
Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as instructions, policy and procedure manuals.
Excellent communication skills within oral and written forms and possess good problem resolution skills.
Ability to strategically plan and be adaptable to business changes.
Demonstrates management skills such as directing the activities of the staff, motivation, training, discipline and the development of associates.
Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license; maintain an excellent driving record
Able to lift and carry up to 35-50 pounds
