Quality Control Inspector
Our client is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to support a surge in incoming material inspections as custom parts arrive for an active build phase.

Seattle, WA – Onsite

Duration:

Six weeks to three months

Compensation:

$32.00 - $42.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.

Summary
Our client is ramping up receiving inspection activity as custom parts arrive for an upcoming build phase. They are looking for a self‑directed QC Inspector to own day‑to‑day incoming inspection of custom mechanical parts, verify supplier documentation, and build clean inspection records. The Inspector will work onsite five days a week (Monday through Friday) with one teammate and will need to be comfortable operating with light structure in a fast‑moving engineering environment. This is a strictly temporary engagement with no anticipated extension beyond three months.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily receiving and First Article inspections on custom mechanical parts.

Verify documentation against engineering and technical drawings, purchase orders, and statements of work.

Use measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) and interpret CMM and other inspection reports to determine conformance.

Read and interpret engineering drawings using GD&T to verify part specifications.

Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports including photographs and scans of parts.

Verify material certifications and supplier measurements.

Complete AS9100‑style documentation including receiving inspection reports and nonconformance reports.

Segregate non‑conforming parts and complete rejection reports and tags.

Qualifications

Prior hands‑on QC or incoming inspection experience in aerospace, a machine shop, or a regulated manufacturing environment.

Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.

Proficiency with standard inspection tools and ability to read CMM output.

Self‑starter who can operate with minimal direction.

Moderate computer skills.

Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

Nice to Have

Boeing or aerospace supplier QC background.
