Anesthesiology Physician

Position Overview

A busy anesthesia group in the St. Louis metro area is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for locum coverage across both a hospital and affiliated ambulatory surgery center.

Practice Model

• Supervision Model (MD & CRNA)

• Staffing Ratio: 2 MD : 9 APC

• 8 anesthetizing rooms

• Average 29 cases per day

• EMR: Epic

Schedule

• Day shifts: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Call Structure

• Weeknight home call: 3:00 PM 7:00 AM

• Weekend call: 24-hour coverage

• CRNA support during call

Board Requirements

• ABA or AOBA

• Board Certified

Required Qualifications

• Active or eligible Missouri medical license

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology

• Experience supervising CRNAs

• Experience in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior locum anesthesiology experience

• Experience with Epic EMR

• Experience managing high-volume anesthesia programs

• Airway management

• Surgical anesthesia planning and patient monitoring

• Effective supervision of anesthesia care teams

Compensation & Benefits

• $320 $345 per hour
