Urology Physician

Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Urology Locums coverage Rates: $325/hr Opportunity Highlights

• Initial Urgent Dates: June (7a-7a) & July 6 12 (7a-7a).
• Ongoing Schedule: 1 week per month (Monday 8 AM Friday 5 PM).
• Support: APPs are on-site during the day to handle rounding and initial inpatient consults.
• EMR: Epic.

Clinical Scope & Volume The locum provider will manage the urology service for the scheduled week, balancing clinical appointments with surgical and emergency needs.

• Clinic Volume: Average of patients per day (Light schedule to allow for call duties).
• Call Volume: 1 4 calls per night on average; 30-minute response time required.
• Typical Procedures: General urological surgery and emergency trauma consultations.
• Inpatient Duties: The MD is on call for surgical intervention and complex cases while APPs manage standard rounding.

Provider Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified in Urology (Required).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Licensure: Active Pennsylvania (PA) license required (IMLC accepted).
• Certifications: Active ACLS (Required).
• DEA: Required.
• Compliance: NPDB self-query must be submitted at the time of presentation.
