General Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, treat and manage urological disorders such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones and prostate issues.
  • Perform various surgical interventions including cystoscopies, nephrectomies and prostatectomies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide consultation services to other members of the medical team regarding critically ill patients.
  • Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

  • Fellowship training in a urology specialty may be required.

Certifications:

  • Board certification in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.
