Location: Fredericksburg & Lorton, VA

Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm/7pm

Position Overview:
The Sports Medicine Physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and functional recovery. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a team-based environment with strong referral support and access to comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries
• Perform comprehensive physical exams and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide non-operative sports medicine care, including injections and procedural treatments as appropriate
• Collaborate with interventional pain physicians, podiatrists, and physical therapists for coordinated care
• Interpret imaging studies and coordinate additional diagnostics when needed
• Guide patients through return-to-activity and injury prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach as needed

Qualifications:

• MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Sports Medicine, Family Medicine with Sports Medicine fellowship, PM&R, or related specialty
• Active or eligible for Virginia medical license
• Experience in musculoskeletal and sports injury management preferred
• Strong collaborative and patient-centered approach
• Interest in working within a multidisciplinary model
