
Radiation Therapist – Radiation Oncology

Our client is seeking a
Radiation Therapist
to deliver high‑quality radiation treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists, ensuring safe, accurate, and compassionate care for patients undergoing cancer treatment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Responsibilities
Uphold patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
Support quality assurance activities and equipment check as assigned.
Operate treatment equipment and simulation systems safely and accurately.
Verify patient identity, treatment parameters, and positioning prior to each session.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by following radiation safety principles and regulatory guidelines.
Assist with patient education regarding treatment expectations and care instructions.
Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and established clinical protocols.
Document treatment delivery, patient responses, and any deviations in accordance with regulatory and departmental standards.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Radiation Therapy Certification is in good standing.
Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent education.
High‑level critical thinking, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families.
Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency with clinical technology, electronic medical records, and treatment‑planning systems.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient or hospital‑based radiation oncology setting.
Experience with treatment planning or oncology software (e.g., Aria, Eclipse, CT simulation systems)
