LUB Warehouse Shipping Clerk
Leprino Foods Company is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Clerk for their state-of-the-art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility. This position pays $23.65 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.
Summary Description: The Warehouse Shipping Clerk provides accurate and timely coordination of all cheese, protein, lactose, and non-fat dry milk shipments from, to and between Leprino facilities and outside suppliers. This position is required to effectively coordinate the shipment and receipt of packages with internal departments at the plant. All other duties as assigned.
Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities):
Reconcile orders and inventory, daily, to ensure that all orders are filled.
Communicate requirements to warehouse supervisor and quality supervisor and follow up to ensure that product is available to load.
Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound appointments.
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed.
Coordinate and ensure accuracy of all required shipping and receiving documents including COA's, BOL, packing slips.
Reconcile shipments from other Leprino facilities and coordinate incoming materials and outgoing products.
Coordinate and reconcile all sales returns to the Greeley facility in a timely manner.
Assist with warehousing: movement of product, disposition or on hold, and inventory.
Coordinate movement of trucks and availability of dock spaces.
Maintain positive relationships with all customer contacts.
Follows SOP's, GMP's and perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
Maintain 5S standards.
This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language
Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary
Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs
Ability to complete written reports, and enter data into and pull data from computer systems
Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions
Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures
Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices
Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts
Ability to operate personal computer software, SAP, FEDEX/UPS shipping portals, as well as other office equipment.
Ability to perform warehouse operator duties
Basic knowledge of office equipment, material handling equipment, process, packaging, and palletizing equipment, and general parts information; experience operating material handling equipment including sit down; floor scrubbers and proficient skills in data entry, email, internet, Microsoft Office software, and computerized management systems (e.g. SAP).
Basic familiarity with all aspects of warehouse operations including, SAP or a similar inventory system, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (such as hand held bar code scanner, cycle counting, directed put away), Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets and 10-key, and the analysis/creating of BOL, COA, and other shipping/receiving documentation.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in a dairy/food manufacturing environment is preferred
