Job Requirements / Qualifications

Endoscopy Technician certification or facility-verified competency as required (endoscope reprocessing competency preferred)

Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and endoscope cleaning/reprocessing protocols

Ability to work full-time on-site for the duration of the assignment (40 hours per week)

Completion of required onboarding, health, and compliance documentation (Fit Test, MMR, TB Test, Health Statement, Criminal Background Check, Massachusetts CORI, Resume, References, Skills Checklist, Education Verification, SSN Trace, National Sex Offender Check, Exclusion Checks, Respirator Medical Clearance)

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, upper endoscopy), ensuring patient safety and comfort

Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled GI cases to support efficient room turnover

Perform endoscope handling, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and reprocessing according to hospital and AAMI/infection-prevention protocols

Label, document, and transport specimens per hospital policy and chain-of-custody procedures

Maintain a clean, organized environment; monitor and report equipment or supply needs to clinical leadership

Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance for endoscopy services
