Description
Duties and responsibilities
Gather, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from acquisition candidates.
Coordinate the collection of information from external parties (e.g., brokers, sellers, advisors) to support valuation and deal modeling.
Perform EBITDA analysis and build valuation scenarios using the company's financial models.
Develop supporting materials, analyses, and recommendations for investment decisions.
Due Diligence & Transaction Support
Organize and participate in financial and operational due diligence activities.
Prepare clear, concise due diligence summaries and presentation materials for the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
Support acquisition closing activities, including documentation, coordination with internal teams, and post-close data handoff.
Pipeline Management & Market Support
Maintain and update the acquisition pipeline and database in partnership with marketing and business development efforts.
Support development of acquisition-related marketing and outreach materials, as needed.
Prepare content and insights for Board and shareholder updates related to M&A activity.
Operational & Reporting Support
Produce weekly and monthly operating reports for management and field leadership.
Analyze and summarize monthly retail pricing surveys and other market intelligence as it relates to M&A activities for leadership teams.
Provide ad hoc analytical support and data requests for corporate and operations leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to synthesize large, complex data sets into clear insights.
Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles (e.g., EBITDA, cash flow, returns on investment, financial statements).
Prior experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or financial analysis.
Experience supporting due diligence or transaction processes.
Demonstrated experience with valuation models and deal pipelines.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to gather information diplomatically from internal and external stakeholders.
High initiative and comfort working with limited oversight.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
Travel Requirements
Standard +30% with + 75% on occasion
