Locums to Perm - Plymouth, Indiana Hematology/Oncology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical RoleJoin a growing outpatient hematology/oncology program with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This position focuses on infusion coverage across two campuses while helping build and expand a new service line.

Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: Ongoing (Minimum 6 months; potential for permanent placement)

• Infusion coverage across two locations
• Balanced practice: 50% hematology / 50% oncology
• Strong multidisciplinary oncology support

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Infusion Coverage:
  • Mishawaka campus: 3 days per week
  • Plymouth campus: 2 days per week
• Evening call coverage required
• No inpatient rounding (0 hospital patients per day)

Setting: Outpatient Clinic / Infusion Center

Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric

Patient Volume: 30 patients per day

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing outpatient hematology and oncology patients
• Providing infusion center coverage at two campuses
• Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging
• Prescribing and managing chemotherapy treatments
• Participating in tumor board discussions
• Managing bone marrow transplant patients
• Coordinating care with nurse oncologists and care teams

Required:

• Management of VAD/CV catheters
• Bone marrow biopsy

Additional Responsibilities:

• Blood bank coordination
• Chemotherapy administration (in collaboration with physician and nurse oncologist)

Facility Details:

• New and expanding oncology service line
• Dual-campus coverage (Plymouth and Mishawaka)

Technology:

• EMR: Epic

Credentialing Timeline:

• With Indiana license: 60 days
• Without license: 90 days

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (AMBS/AOA) - required
• Competency in both hematology and oncology - required
• Active Indiana license or IMLC with LOQ - required
• BLS - required
• Willingness to commit to a minimum 6-month assignment - required
