Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner OpportunityLocation: Rock Springs, WY - Salt Lake City 180mEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanent position Position OverviewSeeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive behavioral health services in an outpatient, community-based setting. This role focuses on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and integrated care coordination within a collaborative care model. Position Highlights Outpatient behavioral health-focused role Collaborative, multidisciplinary care team Opportunity to work with underserved patient populations Involvement in integrated primary care + behavioral health model Participation in 340B program and population health initiatives Clinical Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments Diagnose and treat mental health conditions Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide brief interventions and behavioral health strategies Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects Coordinate care with primary care providers and behavioral health staff Refer patients to supportive services as needed Additional Responsibilities Provide consultation to primary care teams Educate patients and families on treatment and behavioral health management Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and clinical collaboration Assist with staff training and in-service education Maintain accurate documentation for clinical, billing, and reporting purposes Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards Qualifications Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (or ability to obtain Wyoming license) Experience in behavioral health preferred (3+ years ideal) Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities Ability to perform accurate clinical assessments and develop care plans Excellent communication and teamwork skills Preferred Skills Experience in community health or FQHC setting MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) certification or willingness to obtain Experience collaborating in integrated care environments Work Environment Outpatient clinical setting Exposure to behavioral health patient population, including high-acuity cases Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical & Environmental Considerations Routine clinical activity (standing, walking, patient care tasks) Exposure to infectious diseases and unpredictable patient behavior Moderate physical activity requirements
