Job Responsibilities
As a Front Office Manager, you will supervise associates in the Front Office Department and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Your key duties include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assign duties and shifts to associates and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and operating procedures.
Ensure proper cash and key control procedures are followed.
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
Attend staff meetings to discuss company policies and guest complaints, and provide recommendations to improve service and efficiency.
Perform Front Desk duties as needed.
Provide guests with information on available services and hours of the hotel, i.e., restaurant, lounge, room service.
Ensure effective departmental communication through logs, daily stand-up meetings, and monthly department meetings.
Ensure all brand standards and initiatives are implemented and followed.
Perform administrative tasks, including forecasting room occupancy, maintaining the department budget, analyzing service trends using Guest Satisfaction results, processing payroll, monitoring inventory, and handling accounting and purchasing functions.
Maintain up-to-date records and files.
Maintain cleanliness of the Front Office, lobby, and surrounding areas.
Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment, and conditions (lights, music, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings, and maintenance; report deficiencies.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a self‑motivated Front Office Manager with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a drive to exceed expectations.
1 to 3 years of related experience.
Associate's degree (A.Â) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
