Contract Logistics Specialist
As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you contribute to the success of your team and the day-to-day operations in our warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations.

Reporting Structure and Schedule
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Contract Logistics Operations Team Lead manages receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping, and other designated tasks to ensure the distribution centre functions efficiently. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize manual or powered material handling equipment to efficiently unload incoming materials from trailers.

Confirm and record materials into inventory by accurately scanning them into the designated computer system.

Verify that all necessary inbound and outbound paperwork is completed with drivers, ensuring accurate product counts.

Use material handling equipment to transport and store materials within the warehouse; scan materials when relocating them.

Verify orders against the documented list, identify shortages, and follow up to locate missing items or resolve incomplete orders.

Maintain inventory accuracy and provide support for physical inventory counts as instructed.

Oversee and organize the efficient unloading of incoming shipments.

Demonstrate strong communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

Provide clear direction and support to team members, addressing work‑related inquiries.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

At least one year of experience in a leadership role.

Skills and Experience

Attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.

U.S. citizenship.

Ability to analyze and resolve challenges.

Prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks independently with minimal oversight.

Capability to deliver training to less experienced material handlers and warehouse associates.

Computer operating system proficiency.

Proficiency in operating power‑driven machinery.

Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to wear required safety shoes while on duty.
