Anesthesiology - Cardiac Physician

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the established team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson Florida, located approximately 30 miles north of Clearwater Beach.

This role is well suited for candidates with cardiac fellowship training or strong cardiac experience including TEE proficiency who are seeking a high acuity practice with a balanced schedule.

Position Highlights

• Anesthesia care team model with 9 anesthesiologists and 22 CRNAs
• 3 cardiac anesthesiologists; 6 general anesthesiologists
• Supervision ratio of 1:4 CRNAs
• Coverage includes 12 ORs plus EP Lab Cath Lab and Endoscopy
• Approximately 9000 annual cases
• High acuity case mix including cardiac trauma ortho neuro spine vascular bariatric and robotics
• No pediatrics and no obstetrics

Cardiac Program Details

• Approximately 250 open heart cases annually
• Total cardiac volume including Cath Lab and EP approaches 730 cases
• Case types include CABG valve replacements AAA repair Mitral Clip Watchman and atrial fibrillation procedures
• Aortic dissections are rare
• Cardiac cases typically performed solo with occasional CRNA support

Schedule and Call

• Average work week of approximately 50 hours
• Cardiac call one in three from home with one weekend per month
• Additional call shifts compensated separately
• Thirty minute response time
