Master/Senior Plumber
A Master/Senior Plumber is a highly skilled tradesperson responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves leading apprentices and journeymen, ensuring compliance with local codes, and managing complex plumbing projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage systems, gas systems.
Diagnose commercial plumbing issues and determine effective solutions
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations
Prepare cost estimates, materials lists, and project timelines
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other trades on construction projects
Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Required Qualifications:
Valid Journeyman Plumber license (as required by state/local regulations) Is a plus but not required
Extensive experience in commercial plumbing (10+ years)
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, tools, and safety practices
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in project management or team leadership
Knowledge of commercial plumbing and commercial gas systems
Certification in backflow prevention or other specialized areas i.e. jetter experience, pipe relining...
