Neonatology Physician Assistant

Medical Center northwest of Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced part-time Neonatal Physician Assistant to join their team!

Details:

• Part-time position (24 hrs/weekly)
• Provide comprehensive care to healthy term and late preterm newborns in a Level I Newborn Nursery under the supervision of a licensed pediatrician
• The PA is responsible for:
  • Routine newborn assessments
  • Daily management
  • Discharge planning
  • Family education
  • Coordination of care in accordance with AAP guidelines, hospital policies, and state regulations

Requirements:

• Newborn care experience required
• Prior newborn nursery experience, circumcision experience preferred
• Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NC license
• NCCPA Certified
• ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within three months of employment date.
• NRP Certification
