Overview

The Parts Manager will provide support for all maintenance-related needs and work alongside the maintenance manager/technicians and engineering on process improvements.
Responsibilities

Performance of duties with a focus on safety, quality (of product and task), and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Hire, train, motivate, and supervise department staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Forecast daily parts usage, order appropriate parts and equipment, and monitor usage.
Track daily use of parts and orders.
Collaborate with maintenance to identify parts removed due to equipment changes or decommissioning.
Ensure purchase orders are created in accordance with company policy.
Monitor parts availability and usage in coordination with production planning to support just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Conduct Daily/Weekly/Monthly Cycle Counts and quarterly full inventory counts.
Control inventory by ensuring parts are signed out and received in the system.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area that aligns with company policies and safety standards.
Preferred Skills

Knowledge of hardware such as pneumatic fittings, O-rings, seals, nuts and bolts, lubricants, etc.
Work closely with OEMs and parts vendors to ensure parts are ordered and received on time.
Education & Experience

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
3-5 years of parts room experience.
Good working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical parts.
