Indirect MRO Buyer

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Indirect MRO Buyer to join our team in Bartlett, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies and services that support our organization's operational needs. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships and optimizing procurement processes.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with MRO suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Develop and maintain a diverse supplier base for indirect MRO categories, ensuring business continuity and cost optimization
Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance metrics to drive strategic sourcing decisions
Process purchase orders, manage order fulfillment, and resolve supply chain issues efficiently
Monitor supplier performance against established quality, delivery, and service level agreements
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and provide tailored sourcing solutions
Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement documentation
Conduct cost-benefit analyses to identify opportunities for savings and process improvements
Manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize stock management
Prepare procurement reports and present findings to management for strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry regulations
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Proven experience sourcing and managing MRO suppliers and indirect procurement categories
Strong knowledge of MRO products, services, and industry best practices
Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to analyze costs, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally
Experience with inventory management and procurement metrics
Familiarity with supplier quality management and performance evaluation processes
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and procurement compliance requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Additional Information

The expected salary range for this position is $50-60K per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
