Description
Summary: Performs complex assembly operations and leads production teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision, performs substantially varied and complex tasks
Applies advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area
Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position
Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
Orients, trains, assigns, and checks the work of other employees
Must be able to distinguish colors
Knowledge of production procedures
Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports
Simple computer literacy
Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisor
Ability to help motivate and encourage employees to reach their goals
May help assist in performance management
May assume supervisor/manager’s duties in their absence
Scope
Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
Completes assignments and facilitates the work activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area
Proposes improvements to processes
Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but is not a supervisor
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
Education and Experience
High School w/6+ years’ experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/3-6 years’ experience
Certified with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Class Standards
Physical Demands and Abilities
Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
Able to stand for entire shift.
Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral.
Vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
Recommend improved EH&S practices.
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
