HVAC Foreman

Location: Delaware County & Chester County
The HVAC Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This position ensures that all HVAC work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to project timelines and budgets. The foreman will coordinate and supervise a team of HVAC Mechanics and subcontractors, providing technical guidance and support to optimize workflow and resolve any on-site challenges. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with Superintendents, home builders, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery. Ultimately, the HVAC Foreman is responsible for driving operational excellence and maintaining compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance.
Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role within the HVAC industry.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards.
Familiarity with local, state, and national HVAC codes and safety regulations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as an HVAC technician (e.g., EPA 608 Certification).
Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training program in HVAC.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or project management software.
OSHA 30-hour safety certification or equivalent safety training.
Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead HVAC installation, and repair teams on new home job sites to ensure work is performed according to specifications and safety standards.
Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Provide technical training, mentorship, and support to HVAC technicians to enhance team performance and skill development.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to address project requirements, resolve issues, and communicate progress updates.
Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure availability and proper usage on site.
Document work performed, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.

The HVAC Foreman utilizes technical expertise to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications, ensuring accurate installation and maintenance of HVAC systems. Leadership and communication skills are essential for effectively managing teams, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
