Position Overview

Mercy Health Lourdes is seeking a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon to provide surgical coverage and 24-hour hospital call as backfill. This assignment includes an initial April block with potential for ongoing coverage.

Coverage Details

• Open Dates: April 3 (7:00 AM) April 13 (7:00 AM), 2026

• Additional Dates: Ongoing needs anticipated

• Schedule: 24-hour emergency call (7a 7a) with callback

• Call Rate Note: 2 4 hours gratis preferred for 24-hour call coverage

Clinical Requirements

• Hip nailing experience is required

• Orthopedic trauma and surgical cases including:

  • Fractures, dislocations, amputations

  • Deformities and tumors of bones and joints

  • Total joint replacement, revision, or repair (hip, knee, shoulder)

  • Spine surgery (with and without instrumentation cervical, thoracic, lumbar)

  • Arthroscopy

Practice Environment

• Patient Demographics: Adult, pediatric, and geriatric

• EMR: Epic

• Setting: Hospital-based surgical coverage and emergency call
