Patient Volume/Census: 1215 patients per day
Admissions: Yes (inpatient consults)
Case Mix: Oncology and Hematology including new patient referrals, cancer diagnosis, staging, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy
FACILITY INFORMATION
No. of Beds in Department: 219228 beds
Trauma Level: Level IIIV
EMR System: ONCO (clinic), Cerner (hospital)
Office Equipment Available: Oncology infusion and treatment resources
Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Radiology for procedures such as bone marrow biopsy
Support Staff Available: Director of Oncology, Clinical RN Supervisor, Oncology RNs, Nurse Navigators, Medical Assistants, Clerical Staff, Pharmacists, Billing and Authorization teams
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active PA license required (IMLC may be considered)
Board: Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience
Other Qualifications: Ability to manage both oncology and hematology cases; inpatient consult experience required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outpatient oncology and hematology care
Manage treatment plans and oversee cancer therapies
Perform inpatient consults as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
