Specialty Backup Available: Full hospital specialty support including cardiology, surgery, oncology, and transplant services

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license required; license must be clean with no prior actions
Board: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine; ABEM required
DEA: Active DEA with Louisiana address required
Certifications: ACLS required; PALS required if not Board Certified in EM
Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine
Other Qualifications: CME and case logs from past 2 years required; complete credentialing documentation required
Interview Required: Medical Director interview required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and emergent conditions
Collaborate with advanced practice providers and specialty teams
Document patient encounters accurately and timely
Participate in a team-based staffing model to ensure continuous emergency department coverage
