Job Title: Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Blackfoot, ID
Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic, Labor & Delivery, and Surgical Services within a Non-Profit Critical Access Hospital
Schedule: Predictable weekly structure integrating OB coverage and GYN clinic; flexible clinic scheduling
On-Call Expectations: Structured 1-in-4 call model
PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
Patient Demographics: Women and adolescent females across the reproductive and gynecologic lifespan
Average Daily Volume / Census: Approximately 30 deliveries/month; consistent clinic volume for GYN and womens health services
Admissions & Rounding: Required during OB call weeks for Labor & Delivery patients
Consults & Follow-Ups: ER consultations and obstetric follow-ups during call weeks; GYN follow-ups during clinic weeks
Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, routine and complex womens health, prenatal care, preventative care
FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
Specialty Backup: Collaborative support with anesthesia, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, and nursing teams
Support Staff: Dedicated OB clinic team, experienced L&D nursing staff, and proactive administrative support
Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer
CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE
Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 6090 days
COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS
Base Salary: Nationally competitive salary with no-cap productivity bonuses
Incentive Bonus Structure: Quality-based incentives available
Relocation Assistance: $40,000 relocation bonus
Student Loan Repayment: Potential eligibility for federal and state programs
CME Allowance: $5,000 annually + 40 hours CME

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Board Status: BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Active Idaho M edical License/Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Experience: OB/GYN experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
Additional Requirements: Strong communication skills; ability to provide patient-centered, team-based care; EMR proficiency
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive obstetric care including prenatal management, deliveries, and postpartum care
Participate in a structured 1-in-4 call model covering Labor & Delivery, ER consults, and C-sections
Deliver gynecologic and womens health services including clinic care and surgical procedures
Collaborate with a cohesive OB/GYN team to maintain consistent coverage and shared protocols
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Support ongoing quality initiatives and contribute to program development
