Summary:
We are seeking a Project Engineer/Construction Project Manager for our Facilities Engineering team. This role involves coordinating facility projects both domestically and globally. These projects range from general facilities maintenance and upgrades/retrofits to complete building construction, including production/process systems design and start-up. The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering from concept through implementation, supporting various initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports for facility planning.
Determining facility and equipment specifications.
Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
Designing and overseeing facility expansions, layouts, and system implementations.
Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure for efficiency improvements.
Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules.
Responding to emergencies to reduce risks and minimize losses/downtime.
Coordinating and overseeing contractors for maintenance activities.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
Managing projects cohesively, working with various internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial or similar discipline BS
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Facilities. Foundry experience is a plus.
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and creating drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of national and local building codes, Environmental, OSHA, and other regulations.
Experience with contractor management, including the competitive bid process and change orders.
Basic knowledge in Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, and Mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) disciplines.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, or related project management software.
Pluses:
Experience with design and installation of Compressed air and Cooling water systems, including piping, compressors, chillers, and cooling towers.
Knowledge of Collection/Process Ventilation systems for Foundry Dust and General Fume Collection/Ventilation.
Understanding of the building process and construction principles.
