• Patient Volume/Census: 25,000 annual ED volume

• Admissions: Yes

• Case Mix: Full-spectrum emergency medicine, including pediatrics and stroke care

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 16-bed ED with telemetry monitoring

• Office Equipment Available: Telemetry monitoring

• Specialty Backup Available: State-approved pediatrics; Certified Stroke Center

• Support Staff Available: 14 hours daily NP/PA support

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Full-spectrum emergency medicine procedures

• Pediatric emergency care

• Stroke management in accordance with Certified Stroke Center guidelines

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Active Illinois License

• BC/BE; ABEM preferred

• DEA required

• CSL required

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, certifications

• Other Qualifications: recent ED experience, comfort with treating alll ages, Experience in stroke response

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical services to adult and pediatric patients

• Manage patient care in a 16-bed emergency department

• Deliver 24-hour physician coverage in assigned shifts

• Work collaboratively with NP/PA support staff

• Ensure adherence to standards required for state-approved pediatrics and Certified Stroke Center
