Responsibilities

Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross‑sectional images used in diagnosing medical conditions

Perform CT procedures and a range of imaging modalities not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy

Position patients, choose appropriate protocols, and optimize image quality while adhering to radiation safety standards

Verify patient identity, monitor safety, and assist with contrast administration per established protocols

Review acquired images for technical quality and relay findings or concerns to radiologists and the care team

Maintain CT equipment, perform routine quality control checks, and uphold infection control and workspace safety practices

Requirements

Active radiologic technologist license for California (state licensure as required)

CT imaging competency or CT certification as applicable

Ability to work a night shift with 12‑hour rotations in a fast‑paced imaging setting

Strong patient‑care and communication skills

Proficiency in CT imaging and additional radiographic procedures (general radiography and fluoroscopy)

Commitment to radiation safety and adherence to ALARA principles
