Position Overview
Associate Quality Lab Technician

– Responsible for incoming material inspections and testing as well as materials produced in-house. This position will challenge you to work as a team to set, achieve, and maintain goals including daily inspection times. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and knowledgeable group of people who support and lead quality improvement efforts to ensure that our products have No Equal in our industry. Working hours are 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials and parts to ensure vendor quality. Report inspection findings using software programs. Create, revise, or update various spreadsheets and/or electronic records used to collect information in the lab (60%).

Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes, first piece and final output. Communicate and assist Engineers in resolving non-conformances (25%).

Contribute and participate in various improvement projects within the plant (10%).

Report non-conformances using PIO system and follow through to execution of disposition (5%).

Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum requirements and sought competencies:

3 years of experience performing product inspections.

Ability to work in a Microsoft software environment including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Attention to detail and accuracy of information; capability to identify options for solving a problem.

Meet productivity standards, deadlines and work schedules; fulfillment of commitments; accountability for measurable, high-quality, timely results; ability to work independently and efficiently.

Work well within a small team environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Reliable punctual attendance.

Mathematical reasoning: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.

Follow written and oral instructions, safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies.

Safety priority: quick recognition and response to dangerous situations; leadership of HSE rules and PPE usage (gloves, protective clothing, heat‑resistant gear, respirators as required).

Continuous skill development to influence decisions and recommend/implement process improvements.

Strong communication to relay information to all departments and at all levels.

Knowledge of company quality standards and quality control processes.

Problem solving in varied situations with limited standardization.

Teamwork and ability to accomplish group goals.

Results focus and initiative; ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment.

Customer service principles and processes.

Reading comprehension: ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Required physical demands:

Stand, walk, see, talk, and hear regularly; occasionally sit.

Operate large equipment and maintain position to operate equipment.

Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 50 lb (and heavier with proper equipment).

Working environment: regularly work around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. Risk of exposure to dust, heat, cold, wet or humid conditions.

Travel
No travel is required. Position may require travel to an alternate facility for training prior to startup.

Work Status & Location
Full‑time, non‑exempt position located in Gallatin, TN.

Relocation
Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay
$19.38 - $29.09 / hour
