Are you an organized, hands‑on operations professional who likes to make things work better? North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) is seeking an Operations & Administrative Manager to be the backbone of our organization—keeping systems running smoothly so our attorneys and advocates can focus on serving clients.
The mission of NSLAC is to provide accessible, quality, equitable, free legal services in the areas of domestic violence, housing, and immigration to give low‑income, at‑risk community members access to justice and the opportunity to live productive and secure lives. NSLAC is an 11‑year‑old dynamic nonprofit with a collaborative culture and the goal of becoming the model legal aid organization focused on suburban communities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and problem‑solving. You’ll manage core office operations, oversee financial and administrative processes, coordinate technology and vendors, and directly supervise an Administrative Assistant. Your work will have a visible, daily impact on staff effectiveness, compliance, and client service.

Run daily office operations and vendor relationships
Oversee accounts payable, billing, reconciliations, grant documentation, and audit prep
Coordinate IT support, systems access, and staff onboarding
Manage reception, phones, records, and front‑office coverage
Supervise the Administrative Assistant (Operations)
Improve processes and maintain strong internal controls
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in operations, administration, or nonprofit management
Experience with QuickBooks (preferred), Microsoft Office, and cloud‑based systems
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Comfort handling confidential financial and personnel information
Legal or grant‑funded environment experience a plus
Salary and Benefits
$70,000- $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience
On‑Site during normal business hours; Hybrid work available with approval;
