Compositing Supervisor
The Compositing Supervisor plays a key role in driving the compositing work on a project, overseeing the compositing team and the quality of the work. Working closely with the project’s Creative Director, CG Supervisor and Producer. The Compositing Supervisor communicates, supervises and delegates the compositing needs of the project(s) to the compositing team.
Location: 100% On-site in Tenerife, Canary Islands
Contract: Fixed-term, Full-time employee contract (no freelance)
Duration: From June 2026 to April 2027 approximately
A minimum of six years of compositing experience;
Proven experience in a Lead or Supervisor role on CG-heavy projects (animation, film, TV, or similar)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Expert knowledge of Nuke
Experience in gizmo creation, and templating of scripts;
Python scripting is a plus;
Strong artistic eye for composition, colour, lighting, and mood
Solid understanding of photography and camera principles
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills
Ability to work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment and provide supervision and guidance for other crew members;
Ability to take and successfully interpret a verbal or visual creative brief;
Strong communication skills and fluent English
Valid EU/Spanish work permit required
Availability to work on-site in Tenerife
Duties
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of compositors across all levels
Assign shots based on artist strengths and oversee progress
Take responsibility for the quality of the work of the team as a whole
Perform hands-on compositing for complex shots and sequences
Attend client reviews and lead daily reviews with the compositing team
Support and guide the team to apply the changes requested by the project supervisor or clients.
Collaborate closely with CG, production, and support departments
Work closely with the production team to bid and schedule work
Balance the creative and technical aspects of each shot/sequence
Solve any difficult technical and artistic compositing challenges
