Founding / Staff Software Engineer (iOS) - New York (3 days a week onsite)
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer (iOS) with 5+ years of experience to build and ship the company's first iOS application from scratch. We are seeking a founding engineer with clear product and design intuition who can own the end-to-end development process. This is a crucial role to establish our mobile presence and set the quality standard for our native app experiences.
Requirements
8+ years of experience building and maintaining iOS applications.
Owned or oversaw end‑to‑end development of an iOS app with strong polish and taste.
Mix of both Big Tech & startup experience and has demonstrated strong progression throughout.
Founding iOS engineer experience, building an app from scratch.
What you will be doing
Own the end‑to‑end development of Harmonic's first iOS app, from initial setup and architecture to shipping the final product.
Partner with Product and Design leads to create exceptional, world‑class interactive experiences, particularly with AI‑native chat UX.
As the founding iOS engineer, drive key technical decisions and help shape the future of mobile development at Harmonic.
Establish scalable foundations, including testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and reusable components to enable future team growth.
Turn ideas into polished, production‑ready features quickly, defining what a great native iOS app feels like for our users.
