We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Operations
Assist in the management, performance, and completion of assigned projects in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Apply in-depth knowledge of installation, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems and associated materials within the commercial construction industry.
Report to a Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager.
Electrical license preferred but not required.
Communication

Requirements
Physical fitness and visual acuity necessary to survey electrical rooms, climb ladders, walk on rooftops, open electrical panels, and read equipment nameplate data.
Familiarity with Division Office Operations Procedures, vehicle usage, Hazard Communication Program, Quality Assurance Program, Substance Abuse Program, Safety and Hot Work Program, supplier policies, and Division Calendar.
Monitor and control all paperwork related to assigned jobs/work orders.
Adhere to Division Calendar to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules.
Engineering
Monitor profit/loss of assigned jobs.
Manage job processing responsibilities and estimating controls.
Assign estimators to specific projects and ensure entries in the Estimate Log.
Approve estimates and design/build projects within authorized limits.
Prepare bids, re-estimates, and pay-request breakdowns.
Purchase and verify all materials and subcontractor orders.
Process change orders and revisions.
Report monthly job status updates and post-job conference reports.
Control expediting of materials and subcontracts.
Production
Monitor safety and material/tool/equipment security on projects.
Ensure storage facility compliance.
Generate monthly job productivity reports.
Assess job/work order productivity and efficiency.
Manage wage rates, labor, training, and supervision.
Oversee personnel start/stop times.
Coordinate fleet and division tools, trucks, and equipment.
Experience
Demonstrated success in previous positions.
Stable employment history.
Electrical license preferred but not required.
License & Certifications
Current driver’s license and applicable federal, state and local licenses as required.
Applicable federal, state and local certifications as required.
Education
High School Graduate, holder of GED, or equivalent Watson training.
Working Conditions
Majority of work performed in office environment.
Site visits may involve exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow.
Use of construction site sanitary facilities required.
Wear personal protective equipment per Safety Handbook.
Work 40 hours per week plus overtime, night shifts, and out-of-town jobs as needed.
